Frequently asked questions

Do I need experience?

 No experience needed.

Most of our members started as beginners. Every class includes guided instruction, clear cues, and personalized adjustments. You’ll never be expected to “keep up.” You’ll be coached.

Who is this for?

Our studio is designed for those who want to:

  • Build real strength (especially glutes + core)

  • Improve posture and reduce aches

  • Age well and stay mobile

  • Feel strong without high-impact workouts

You don’t need to be flexible.
You don’t need to be in shape.
You just need to be ready to start.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable, fitted workout clothes that allow you to move freely.

Leggings and a tank or fitted tee are perfect. Avoid loose or baggy clothing, as it can get in the way of equipment.

Grip socks are required for safety and hygiene. If you don’t have a pair, we have some available in the studio.

What should I bring?

Just yourself and a water bottle.

We provide all equipment. Grip socks are required.

Is Pilates a good workout?

Yes — but it’s not chaotic or high-impact.

Reformer Pilates builds strength through controlled resistance, which means you’ll feel muscles you didn’t know you had (especially your glutes and deep core). It’s challenging, but joint-friendly.

The goal isn’t exhaustion. It’s long-term strength and consistency.

Why is the studio membership-based instead of offering single drop-ins?

Because we’re intentionally small — just four reformers — membership allows us to protect the experience.

It ensures you can book consistently, receive personal attention, and truly progress week after week. We want this to feel supportive, not crowded or rushed.

While our regular schedule is reserved for members, we do offer Saturday Community Classes and seasonal outdoor mat Pilates events so more of our community can move, connect, and grow with us. Follow along on IG & FB for those offerings!

We built this small on purpose — so it feels personal. 💛

What are your current class times?

These are current class times. As new members are allowed to join, more class times will be added - they will typically be in the mornings & afternoon / early evening hours and we will always be closed on Sunday.

Monday: 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m., & 5:00p.m.

I'm new to Reformer Pilates, what class should I start with?

Start with Core Flow (beginner) and Restore Flow. Both of those will give you the best foundation (recommend 3-6 classes before advancing). Then work your way up to our intermediate classes, Athletic Flow and Fusion Flow (Fusion Flow is a mix of reformer blended with either Jump Board, Spring Board, or Barre/lower body focus, recommend 6-8 classes before advancing). Finally, you'll be ready for Ignite - our heart pumping, faster-paced, circuit focused class!

How long are group classes?

All group classes last 50 minutes. Each class includes a warm-up and cool-down.

Why do you cap memberships?

We only have 4 reformers.

Capping membership ensures:

  • You can actually book into classes

  • The room never feels crowded

  • You receive personalized attention

We’d rather stay small and high quality than overfill the schedule.

Why does it cost more than other fitness options?

Each session is a small-group experience designed to feel like a semi-private — just you and three other members. These are instructor-led strength training sessions on specialized equipment, not crowded gym classes.

With only four clients per class, you receive personalized instruction, thoughtful programming, and hands-on guidance to ensure you’re moving safely and effectively. You’re not just reserving a spot — you’re investing in expert instruction and real results.

And because of our intimate setting, you’ll gain more than strength — you’ll build meaningful connection within a supportive, tight-knit community.

Can I drop in for a single class?

We are primarily membership-based. The studio could not handle drop-ins and having space for members to book spots too. Classes would fill up too much, causing frustration for all.

However, we host occasional Saturday Community Classes, reserved non-members — a chance to move, sweat, smile, and see what we’re all about.

Throughout the year, we’ll also offer seasonal outdoor mat Pilates, (for members & non-members) including one complimentary community mat class annually to celebrate our growing community!

To stay up to date for these class announcements, or to be added to our waitlist when membership reopens please visit our waitlist/announcement page here to sign up. Also, be sure to follow along on Facebook & Instagram.

When will new memberships open?

Openings happen when:

  • A member transitions out

  • We expand our schedule

  • We open limited enrollment periods

Waitlist members are always notified first before we announce publicly.

How do I join the waitlist?

Click here to join the waitlist. Add your name, email, and then choose what type of class you are interested in - private sessions, group classes, or both. You can also let us know if you'd like to be notified of studio updates/events.

When spots open, you’ll receive early access before the general public.

Spots typically fill quickly.

Do you offer events or workshops?

Yes. We love building community.

We plan to host:

  • Member appreciation events

  • Wellness workshops

  • Specialty pop-up classes

  • Saturday Community classes occasionally
  • Outdoor mat Pilates classes seasonally

Do you sell class packs?

At this time, we only offer memberships that renew each month. So whether you purchase a 4, 8, or 12-pack of classes, your card on file will be charged each month and you will use all your credits each month. Any unused classes will be lost - they will not roll over.  This keeps you consistent - creating the habit of movement and giving you the results you deserve.

Are you certified?

Yes. I am comprehensively certified in contemporary Pilates through Club Pilates and trained to work with a variety of populations, including those with back pain and women in peri- and post-menopause. Safety, proper form, and thoughtful programming are always a priority in my studio.

Do you offer mat classes?

Our focus is reformer training to maintain quality and consistency.

Throughout the year, we’ll also offer seasonal outdoor mat Pilates, including one complimentary community mat class annually to celebrate our growing community!

I have an injury. Can I still do Pilates?

In many cases, yes.

Reformer Pilates is low-impact and designed to build strength in a controlled, joint-friendly way. However, every injury is different. We recommend getting clearance from your healthcare provider if you’re currently under treatment or recovering.

Please let us know about any injuries before class so we can offer appropriate modifications. Your safety always comes first.

Can I attend while pregnant?

Probably so! If you are pregnant some movements may need to be modified, especially after the first trimester. Please reach out before booking so we can make sure it’s a safe fit for you.

Do you offer private sessions?

Yes, when availability allows.

Private sessions are ideal if you:

  • Are brand new to reformer

  • Are working around an injury

  • Prefer one-on-one coaching

If you are interested in private sessions, please join the waitlist here so I can reach out when the next spot if available!

How often should I come to see results?

For noticeable strength and tone changes, we recommend 2–3 classes per week.

Consistency matters more than intensity. Most members begin to feel stronger within the first few weeks and see visible changes within 4–6 weeks.

Pilates is about long-term strength — not quick fixes.

What is your cancellation policy?

Because we only have four reformers, late cancellations affect other members.

We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a class. Cancellations made within 24 will result in a  forfeited class credit.

This policy protects fairness and ensures members can access open spots.
